International Accreditation

In Europe: who is entitled?
European accreditation concerns all the specialists.

Accrediting organization?
AMWC is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS),
www.uems.net.

How many European CME credits for AMWC 2007?

  • AMWC is designated for up to 15 hours of European external CME credits

How to apply for European CME credits?
You should turn to the national authorities in your home European country in order to validate the CME credits.

In the United States: who is entitled?
Concerns all the specialists.

Accrediting organization?
EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit,
www.ama-assn.org.

How many AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for AMWC 2007?
The recognition is mutual, i.e.

  • 15 European CME credits allocated to AMWC 2007 will be converted to 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

How to apply for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits?
To apply for conversion of EACCME credit to AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM, download the “
Application for EACCME Credit Conversion (PDF, 22KB)” on AMA web site.
Submit the completed application by fax or mail along with a copy of the EACCME credit certificate and processing fee. A certificate of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit will be mailed 4 weeks later.
