CPD Accreditation

AMWC ASIA-TDAC 2021 – The Hybrid Edition showcases over 320 presentations featuring pioneering research, novel techniques and video demonstrations granting you Continuing Medical Education (CME) qualifications. Its scientific program and structure is CPD-accredited.

Based on the standard of our previous events and webinars and on the basic information supplied with the AMWC Global application for CPD, it has been confirmed by the CPD office that ‘in principle’, the further learning value and structure of the event conforms to CPD guidelines. The details will be added to the events calendar.

The final agenda, presentations and speaker notes will be reviewed retrospectively to be assured that the required standard for CPD has been met. This will also enable us to issue CPD attendance certificates to the delegates for their own CPD purposes.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. It enables learning to become conscious and proactive, rather than passive and reactive.CPD combines different methodologies to learning, such as training workshops, conferences and events, e-learning programs, best practice techniques and ideas sharing, all focused for an individual to improve and have effective professional development.

Engaging in Continuing Professional Development ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become out-dated or obsolete; allowing individuals to continually ‘up skill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves, regardless of occupation, age or educational level. Whether by professional body obligation or as a voluntary option, almost every professional within the medical & healthcare sectors undertakes some form of Continuing Professional Development. Many countries already have established CPD in the medical & healthcare sectors, with more countries taking steps towards a national CPD framework.

CPD can be defined as the continuing education of healthcare professionals following the completion of formal training. The UK Department of Health states; "In the NHS, CPD is determined through appraisals with personal development plans agreed between individuals and their managers. A key development in ensuring that healthcare professionals maintain their competence is the move among regulatory bodies to develop CPD strategies for the revalidation/re-certification of their members."
